Assistant claim settling agent

About the role

The Assistant Claim Settling Agent supports the insurance claim processing function within a maritime inspection and certification services organisation. You will prepare, review, and compile documents related to insurance claims, coordinate with clients, insurance companies, and surveyors, and communicate with international partners and insurers in English.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and compile documents related to insurance claim processing
• Coordinate with clients, insurance companies, and surveyors to support the claim handling
• Monitor the status of claims and update relevant parties accordingly
• Compose and respond to emails in English to communicate with partners, international clients, or insurers
• Input data into the system and prepare claim-related reports
• Translate survey reports from Thai to English
• Summarise details and calculations into MS-Excel and MS-Word format
• Perform other duties as assigned by the claim settling agent or manager

About you

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Good command of English
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
• Experience in insurance, logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, transportation, import-export, or related service industries is an advantage
• Familiarity with international trade terminology such as Incoterms, CY/CFS, shipping documents, and vessel documents is beneficial
