Kaizen Academy is looking for a dependable, technically sound Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner to join our team as a part-time assistant coach.

We’re a growing academy built around technical development, respect, continuous improvement, and a strong community. You’ll work directly alongside the head instructor, helping students learn, improve, and get the most out of their training.

Position details

* Pay: $25-$50 per hour*

Location: 2014 Lincoln Blvd Venice, CA

* Experience: BJJ coaching experience preferred; strong practitioners with the right attitude are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

* Assist with technique instruction and drilling.

* Help students understand techniques and correct their movements.

* Support a safe, welcoming, and productive training environment.

* Help maintain class structure and uphold academy standards.

* Work directly with the head instructor to develop as a coach.

* Solid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals.

* Reliable, punctual, and professional.

* Patient, approachable, and able to communicate clearly.

* Willing to learn our curriculum and coaching approach.

* Interested in growing with a developing academy.

This is a small starting commitment with potential for additional hours as the academy grows.
