Assistant Community Manager

Assistant Community Manager, Riverhead, NY

Georgica Property Management is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for our affordable housing communities in Riverhead. Reporting to the Community Manager, you will assist with all aspects of property operations and serve as acting manager in their absence. We value teamwork and cooperation above all else.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and annual tenant certifications, including verifying resident income
• Assist with rent collection and preparation of receipts
• Support the Community Manager on legal proceedings
• Coordinate turnover of vacant units for refurbishing and occupancy
• Assist with the maintenance work order system and purchase order procedures
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reports
• Respond to and resolve resident concerns professionally
• Perform the duties of the Community Manager in their absence
• Other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Affordable housing LIHTC experience required
• RealPage/OneSite experience required; Yardi or similar software a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and reliable, able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population in a multicultural environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
