Assistant Construction Manager

Role Description:

The Assistant Construction Manager supports daily field operations and construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. This role assists in coordinating field crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

This position is ideal for an energetic professional looking to grow into a construction management role.

Field Operations Support

• Assist with daily site operations and construction activities.
• Coordinate work between subcontractors, crews, and suppliers.
• Monitor construction progress and support schedule adherence.
• Assist with site logistics and workforce coordination.

Safety & Compliance

• Promote safe work practices and site safety standards.
• Support implementation of safety programs and toolbox meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
• Assist with incident reporting and corrective actions.

Quality Control

• Perform site inspections and progress reviews.
• Assist in ensuring work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Support punch list completion and project closeout activities.
• Monitor workmanship and assist in addressing deficiencies.

Material & Resource Management

• Assist with tracking material deliveries and equipment usage.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to support project needs.
• Help maintain inventory and material records.
• Report material shortages or delays.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or related field preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of construction or field operations experience.
• Understanding of construction methods, safety practices, and site operations.
• Ability to read drawings and project documents.

Preferred

• Experience supervising subcontractors or field crews.
• Knowledge with cost control and construction scheduling practices.
• Experience with renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Single is preferred due to the project location and assignment requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
