Assistant Contract Manager

A reputable main contractor is seeking an experienced Assistant Contract Manager to join our commercial team and support the successful delivery of large-scale data centre projects. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Contract Manager in the administration and management of contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage subcontract procurement, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and award processes.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Review contract documents and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and evaluate subcontractor payments and variations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on contractual and commercial matters.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution processes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Prepare commercial reports and cost forecasts for management review.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant commercial/contract management experience with a main contractor.
• Mandatory experience in data centre construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, cost control, and contract administration.
• Proven track record in managing large and complex construction projects.
• Experience in handling variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial management systems.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
