About the Opportunity
A growing multi-site operator is centralizing its accounting function through a newly established shared services office in the DFW area. We're looking for an Assistant Controller to support this build-out and help oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of locations.
What You'll Do
- Support the Controller in managing month-end close and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio
- Review work prepared by Accounting Managers and staff accountants
- Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Help maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Contribute to process improvement as the accounting function centralizes
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including multi-site/portfolio accounting (real estate, hospitality, retail, or healthcare industries a plus)
- Some supervisory or review experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge; CPA a plus
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
