Full-time | Temporary maternity leave replacement for 10 months (with strong option for permanent employment)

About the Role

As an Assistant Controller, you will work closely with colleagues across the organization and play a key role in our financial reporting and operational routines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and financial reporting.
• Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Assist with SOX procedures, internal controls documentation, and operation.
• Work closely with external auditors and coordinate audit requests.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and actual-vs-budget variance analysis.
• Assist with financial tracking and reporting for government grants.
• Collaborate with the finance team and other departments on process improvements and strategic projects.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Must.
• Completion of internship at a Big 4 accounting firm – Must.
• Strong Excel skills and high analytical capabilities with great attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong team player, highly motivated, proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
