Assistant Cook

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the cook in preparing, cooking, and portioning food products following standard recipes and procedures
• Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients as instructed
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of raw and finished products
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
• Keep the workstation, tools, and equipment clean and organized
• Monitor ingredient and supply levels and report shortages to the supervisor
• Help meet daily production targets and deadlines
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, commissary, or food production is preferred
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and lift moderately heavy items
• Hardworking, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Able to start immediately
