Assistant CSR Manager

Job Purpose:

The role includes monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of CSR initiatives and communicating the company's CSR efforts to internal and external stakeholders. The role plays a crucial part in promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainability within our supply chain operations. Additionally, be responsible for conducting social audits on factories to ensure compliance with ethical and sustainability practices when it is necessary. The Assistant CSR Manager drives the organization's efforts to be a responsible corporate company and contributes to its reputation as a socially and environmentally conscious entity.

Key Accountabilities:

Ø  Conduct Code of Conduct (CoC) Audits in China and/ other South (East) Asia countries,

Ø  Perform CSR preliminary approval and support Purchasing / Sourcing team on new potential suppliers,

Ø  Write and submit audit reports in timely manner,

Ø  Develop reasonable Corrective Actions Plan (CAP) with suppliers after CoC Audit by providing necessary support and guidance,

Ø  Monitor CAP implementation by suppliers,

Ø  Address the root causes of audit findings and enhance suppliers’ engagement to improve,

Ø  Assist managing CSR team work accurately, effectively and efficiently,

Ø  Assist managing quality assurance of audits done by third party audit firms,

Ø  Launch CSR and Sustainability Program for suppliers,

Ø   Formulate, implement and evaluate tailor-made corrective measures with building tools and template to improve suppliers conditions,

Ø  Coach and train suppliers to maintain systems and conditions to ensure their CoC compliance in long-term,

Ø  Assist or conduct internal and external CoC trainings, and

Ø  Conduct ad hoc visits & projects.

Requirements:

Ø  Degree holder, in Social Science or Accounting or Human Resources preferred,

Ø   At least 5 years CoC auditing experience for factories producing diversified merchandises,

Ø   Well-versed understanding on general suppliers operations including CoC approach and production flow,

Ø  Solid experience in formulating, implementing and evaluating CSR programs or initiatives to assist suppliers to achieve CoC compliance in long-term,

Ø  Demonstrated effective skills in coaching and training suppliers to deal with critical CoC issues persistently,

Ø   High degree of work ethics and integrity,

Ø   SA8000 Lead Auditor and handling overseas audit are the absolute advantages,

Ø   Strong knowledge of local labor, health and safety and environmental law in China as well as CSR standards, and other South (East) Asia statutory requirements,

Ø  Self-motivated, detail-oriented & organized,

Ø   Independent and responsible as well as ability to work in a team,

Ø  Creative and innovative problem-solver, able to meet tight deadline and work under high pressure,

Ø  Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with strong data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management skills, and

Ø  Demonstrated ability to transform complex data into clear and engaging presentations for management and stakeholders.
