Assistant Customer Manager

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory management tasks such as stocking, merchandising, inventory control, and purchasing to maintain optimal product availability
• Handle cash register operations including cashiering, cash handling, POS system management, and basic math calculations
• Train new employees on company policies, POS systems, customer service standards, and operational procedures
• Manage shift schedules and supervise staff to ensure efficient store coverage and adherence to company policies

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant manager roles within a retail environment
• Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or team management experience
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory management tools
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for pricing, sales transactions, and inventory counts
• Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, merchandising strategies, and operational management practices
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with recruiting, employee orientation, training & development programs is preferred
• Familiarity with grocery store or retail store product knowledge is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
• Basic understanding of budgeting, sales management, and store operations is advantageous

Pay: $23.43 - $35.00 per hour
