Assistant Design Manager – Central London

Our client, a well-established main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering complex commercial refurbishment and cut & carve projects across Central London, is looking to appoint an architecturally biased Assistant Design Manager with a strong architectural jobrunning background to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically competent jobrunning architect looking to make the transition into working for al leading contractor on commercial schemes involving major structural alterations, heavy refurbishment and high-specification fit out projects within challenging city-centre environments.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to project completion across multiple commercial projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting Managing and coordinating the full design process across multiple commercial schemes

• Reviewing structural, architectural and consultant design information

• Leading consultant coordination meetings and driving design team performance

• Identifying and resolving buildability, sequencing and technical challenges

• Managing design programmes and information release schedules

• Liaising closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams

• Ensuring compliance with current UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements

This role would suit either an existing Assistant Design Manager from a main contractor background or Job running Architects, whose clients coming from practice and with a strong history of delivering commercial fit out schemes.
