Role Overview:

This position begins as Assistant Die Casting Toolshop Manager, with a clear pathway to becoming the Die Casting Toolshop Manager in Thailand within 18 to 24 months upon the current Manager's retirement. You will initially support the Die Casting Toolshop Manager and the entire toolshop team to master our requirements and procedures in detail. In future, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process for Aluminium die casting tools including tool simulations, local die cast mould manufacturing, mould repairs, modernising the shop floor and coordinating with our toolshop in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and oversee the Thailand Die Casting Toolshop functions.

· Create and follow the schedule for die casting mould making.

· Ensure a satisfying outcome for die casting mould making in terms of quality, time and cost.

· Drive improvements and modernisation of existing toolshop.

· Collaborate with the Product Development Team during the development of new Aluminium cast parts.

· Support local production with die cast mould repairs, maintenance and jig fixtures

· Collaborate with the local Head of Product Development and the Die Casting Toolshop Manager in Germany on planning and decision-making.

Requirements:

· Experience in Aluminium high-pressure die casting and gravity die casting

· Experience in designing die casting moulds in CAD

· Experience in simulating mould designs, preferably MagmaSoft

· Experience in CAM programming

· Good English proficiency (both written and spoken)

· Proven ability to enhance and modernise toolshop shop floors

· Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills

· University Degree in Mould Making or related field
