Assistant Director

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director to join our team at Alianza Preschool at The Woodlands. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for our children, families, and staff. Working closely with the Director, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing requirements, and foster a positive and respectful atmosphere.

Duties

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all daily operations adhere to licensing requirements and Alianza Preschool protocols. Supervise and maintain accurate records to ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff.
• Team Leadership and Management: Support staff members in their daily tasks, ensuring appropriate scheduling. Foster a positive and respectful environment through positive behavior management strategies.
• Organization and Maintenance: Plan and participate in special events. Manage supplies and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment. Maintain required certifications, such as CPR.

Experience

• Graduate or Associate degreeBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Excellent communication skills with parents, staff, and studentsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Exceptional organizational, detail-oriented, and planning skills
• 1+ year of supervisory experience1-3 years of experience working with children in a group setting (Before/After school programs)
• Experience adhering to licensing requirements

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
