Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Director of Communications to lead our internal and external communication efforts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the way our organization shares its story, engages with communities, and promotes our educational mission. The ideal candidate will be a passionate communicator with strong media relations skills, adept at managing content across various platforms, and committed to maintaining high standards of clarity and professionalism in all messaging.

Duties

• Develop social media content and posts aligned with our school's activities and Service offerings.
• Create internal and external communications to staff and parents such as Monthly Calendars, Weekly Menus, Upcoming reminders, and Activity notices.
• Monitor and update, website content, social media posts, and other marketing materials using AP style guidelines.
• Repsond to Website, Social Media, and Advertising inquiries from potential clients and conduct scheduled follow-up on inquiries/leads to assure existing and potential clients have a positive experience with our school.
• Assist with front desk activities, parent and child engagement, and assist where needed with answering questions and directing people where needed.

Skills

• Excellant communication and socialization skills such as meeting and greeting parents and children entering and leaving the facility.
• Ability to run a booth at events representing our school along with creation of all materials for the event, including setup, teardown.
• Experience in research, journalism, editing, and proofreading to ensure accurate messaging.
• Skilled in social media management across platforms such as Facebook, TicTok, Instagram, and X.com.
• Ability to craft compelling social media content marketing that enhances brand visibility.
• Knowledge of website management tools to update content regularly and optimize user experience.
• Excellent strategic thinking skills combined with a creative approach to communication challenges. Pay: From $15.00 per hour
