Key Responsibilities

To carry out procurement activities and contract management of general stores, clothing items, IT Eqpt, Electronics and engineering stores, by ensuring transparency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of procured stores

a. Scrutiny /review of BOQs of IT & Electronic stores and general stores i.e Furniture/Fixtures, Stationery, Cleaning items, Expendable stores, & clothing items, of user Dtes, Schools and Institutions.

b. Provide required estimates to user through market survey.

c. Initiate timely tendering process on E-PADs

d. Arrange sampling of stores/ equipment and arrange pre-bid meeting if required.

e. Bid opening and arrange its evaluation through users/ technical authorities.

f. CST compilation and its processing for approval, including pre audit.

g. Address bidder/vendor queries/grievances through grievance committee.

h. Preparation of contract agreements for procured stores.

i. Preparation and issuance of purchase orders for procured stores.

j. Post contract management for timely completion of contractual obligations, delivery of stores, and payment to vendors.

k. Provide guidance to schools/ institutes/ Main office/ Sectts/ Dtes on Tender/ RFQ related issues for procurement.

l. Review/ Vetting of RFQs and procurement contracts concluded by schools/ colleges/ institutes/ Main offices/ Sectts/ Dtes.

m. Carry out stocktaking of general stores & clothing items.

n. Carry out survey and condemnation of Furniture & Fixtures, and other general stores & clothing items.

o. Arrange auction of condemned stores/equipment.

p. Any other procurement related task assigned by DD/ Dir P&LP

Term and Conditions

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:

• 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.

• NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.

• In process of pursuing a required degree.

• Medically unfit.

• Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.

• Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
