Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Assistant Engineer to support electrical maintenance activities in our copper manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of electrical systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), electrical drawing interpretation, and basic Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.

The candidate will assist in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and ensuring the reliable operation of electrical equipment and production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and industrial machinery.
• Support troubleshooting of electrical faults in motors, control panels, drives, and production equipment.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and assist in basic fault diagnosis.
• Read and interpret basic electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuit diagrams.
• Possess basic knowledge of PLC systems, including inputs, outputs, and control logic.
• Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical panels, motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Support breakdown maintenance to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate with mechanical and production teams to ensure smooth machinery operation.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.
• Follow company safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements, and electrical safety standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Basic knowledge of VFDs, electrical drawings, and PLC systems is essential.
• Practical understanding of electrical motors, control panels, wiring, and industrial electrical components.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and support maintenance activities.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and support shift or emergency maintenance when required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in copper, cable, metal, steel, or other heavy manufacturing industries.
• Exposure to industrial production machinery and automated systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance practices.
