ASSISTANT ENGINEER

About the role

Valley Golf & Country Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join our maintenance team on a full-time basis in Antipolo City, Rizal. This is a pivotal position that supports the smooth operation and maintenance of our golf course and country club facilities. As an Assistant Engineer, you will work alongside our engineering team to ensure all systems, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, contributing directly to the exceptional experience we provide to our members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising the daily engineering and maintenance activities of the Club.
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of all building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, generators, water distribution, sewage treatment, fire protection, and other utilities.
• Ensure that all engineering equipment and facilities are operating efficiently, safely, and reliably.
• Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of renovation, repair, and construction projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair structural elements including carpentry, masonry, painting, and tiling.
• Monitor electricity, water, fuel, and other utility consumption and recommend cost-saving initiatives and energy-efficient solutions.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety standards, building regulations, environmental laws, and Club policies.
• Maintain engineering maintenance records, equipment history, work orders, and inspection reports.
• Assist in supervising engineering technicians and maintenance personnel.

About you

• Knowledge of building systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, generators, water distribution, sewage treatment, and fire protection systems.
• Experience in project management, renovation, repair, and construction coordination.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair structural elements including carpentry, masonry, painting, and tiling.
• Knowledge of utility and energy management practices.
• Understanding of occupational safety standards, building regulations, and environmental laws.
• Experience in maintenance record keeping and technical reporting.
• Ability to supervise and provide technical guidance to engineering staff.
• Experience with water distribution networks, water pumps, and sewage treatment plants.
• Knowledge of golf course maintenance equipment and irrigation systems.
• Ability to respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and maintenance requests.
