Assistant Engineer/ Engineer - Transmission Operation (Workshop)

The Role:

• Perform calibration on a broad range of electronic, mechanical, environmental and specialized measurement instruments (e.g. insulation testers, clamp meters, multimeters, pressure gauges, PI pipe fusion units and etc.) in line with internal procedures
• Record measurement data and evaluate measurement uncertainty
• Compile calibration data and issue calibration records
• Maintain instrument check-in/check-out records
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory reference equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
• Conduct electrical and electronic product evaluation and testing
• Assist in diagnosis of faults in electrical/electronic systems, repair damaged electrical/electronic devices, produce schematic wiring diagram and other schematics, run performance tests, troubleshoot issues and compile data into detailed reports
• Participate in internal audits and external assessments, supporting corrective actions
• Undertake internal and external training arranged by the company to keep current on instrument operation and relevant regulations
• May lead a team of maintenance technicians
• Requires occasional outdoor work. Work may occasionally be performed at the Company's designated outdoor town gas pressure reduction facilities in Hong Kong rather than in an office environment
• Take part in ad hoc duties when an emergency may arise
• Undertake other ad hoc duties as assigned

The Person:

• Higher Diploma or above in Electronic Engineering / Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines
• Minimum 3 years’ working experience in relevant engineering field is required
• Holder of valid driving license of Class 1 & 2 is an advantage
• Holder of Electrical Worker License of Grade A
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is preferable
• Meticulous, detail-oriented; able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills
• Capable to work at sites and office
