Assistant Engineer - Fire System

What You Will Do

This person will join the Fire System Service Team in Hong Kong. He/She will support the delivery of preventive and corrective maintenance services for fire systems, ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably while meeting customer and statutory requirements. The role will also involve assisting in inspections, testing, troubleshooting, service reporting and customer support activities.

How You Will Do It

• Assist in carrying out preventive maintenance, inspections, testing and commissioning of fire system equipment and related systems.
• Support troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and rectification works to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, testing documentation and other service-related documents.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure service activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Support statutory inspections, maintenance schedules and compliance activities in accordance with local Fire Services Department requirements.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to customers regarding system performance, repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure all service works comply with company safety standards, environmental requirements and quality procedures.

What We Look For

Required

• Degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Fire Engineering or equivalent.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Basic understanding of fire protection systems, fire alarm systems or related building services systems.
• Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Preferred

• 1-3 years' experience in maintenance, service, installation or testing & commissioning of fire systems or building services systems.
• Familiarity with local Fire Services Department codes and statutory requirements.
• Knowledge of fault-finding and troubleshooting of fire alarm, fire detection or fire protection systems.
• Hands-on computer knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Independent, responsible and able to work under pressure.
