Our clients trust us to create experiences that reflect their brands, celebrate their people, and leave lasting impressions. We’re looking for an Assistant Event Producer who is excited to learn every aspect of the event business while helping bring those experiences to life.

This is more than an assistant role—it’s an opportunity to build a career. You’ll work alongside experienced producers, learn every stage of the production process, and grow into a Lead Event Producer over time.

What You’ll Do

• Support events from initial planning through final execution.

• Build strong client relationships by responding quickly, communicating clearly, and making every client feel supported.

• Coordinate vendors, venues, rental companies, installers, and production crews.

• Attend client meetings, venue walkthroughs, and site visits.

• Oversee event installations, manage production crews, and ensure every detail is executed to Capricorn Creative standards.

• Organize timelines, production schedules, spreadsheets, budgets, invoices, and project documents.

• Assist with billing, profitability tracking, and keeping projects financially organized.

• Keep the team informed by communicating project updates, challenges, and next steps.

• Solve problems calmly, professionally, and proactively.

• Learn every aspect of premium event production with the goal of growing into a Lead Event Producer.

A Few Non-Negotiables

Reliable personal transportation is required.

This role includes frequent travel throughout the Washington, D.C. region for meetings, walkthroughs, errands, site visits, installations, and production days.

• A valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle are required for this position.

• You must be local to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and able to work from our Silver Spring office.

• You must be flexible with early mornings, evenings, weekends, occasional travel, and long production days when events require it.
