Assistant Facilities Operations Manager

An established nonprofit organization in New York City is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to support day-to-day facilities operations across multiple sites.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 4pm
• Setting: On-site/field

Responsibilities:

• Oversee facilities operations across multiple properties and respond to site needs as they arise
• Coordinate vendors for repairs, maintenance, and service requests
• Monitor building systems, site issues, and preventive maintenance activities
• Track work orders, asset details, and maintenance records in a facilities management system
• Support compliance efforts, inspections, and resolution of facility-related deficiencies

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of progressive facilities or operations experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience coordinating repairs, maintenance, vendors, and contracts
• Working knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and general building trades
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree
• FDNY COF F-89 certification
• Experience with TheWorxHub or a similar facilities management system
• Experience supporting nonprofit, healthcare, or supportive housing environments
• Experience working across multiple boroughs or sites
