Assistant Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Management Accounting

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
• Review general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Present financial reports and analysis to management.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process.
• Prepare financial forecasts and cash flow projections (quarterly and yearly)
• Analyse variances between actual and budgeted results.
• Recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash positions and liquidity requirements.
• Manage banking facilities, loans, and financing arrangements.
• Optimize working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory.
• Ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Oversee corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Liaise with external tax agents and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure timely submission of all statutory filings.

Corporate Secretary & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure the company complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and other relevant authorities.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Coordinate external and internal audits.
• Implement and maintain strong internal control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and governance requirements.
• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

Costing & Analysis

• Monitoring product costing information calculated by Sales Team to ensure accurate pricing, profitability analysis and Advertising & Promotion Fund.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and supervise finance and accounting personnel.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Train and develop staff competencies.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• To carry any other duties, responsibilities and assignment wherever required, directed or instructed by superiors.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must possess minimum bachelor' degree/professional degree in ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit management & accounting

Skills:

• Strong analytical and planning skills as well as problem solving with strong financial judgement
• Possess leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills and able to lead a team
• Having initiative attitude and prepare to work long hours.
• Initiative to complete tasks on timely.
• Able to work independent and self-motivated
