Assistant Finance Manager (Contract)

Join Watsons Malaysia Finance team and play a key role in supporting business-critical financial operations, reporting, governance, and control activities. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of Finance functions, with placement based on business needs and your experience.

This opportunity is a 1-year contract role supporting a project-based assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support financial reporting, month-end closing, and finance operational activities.
• Review journals, reconciliations, claims, and payment-related transactions.
• Support supplier governance, onboarding, and accounts payable control processes.
• Assist in capex administration, fixed asset management, and finance compliance reviews.
• Monitor adherence to finance policies, governance standards, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations.
• Ensure timely completion of recurring finance deliverables and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Accounts Payable, Reporting, or Finance Operations.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, reporting, governance, and compliance.
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
