Assistant Floating Teacher

Overview

Full-time Assistant Floating Teacher needed for all ages between 6 weeks to 5 years old, but will spend the majority of time in the infant/toddler classroom. Having 3 credits in Early Childhood Education, or CDA or have completed the Fundamentals program is preferred, but we will help achieve this if you have not. At least one year of classroom experience is preferred, but not required. Hours range from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, year round. We are closed for most holidays and give staff a summer and winter break each year.

Responsibilities include

-Assisting the classrooms in normal day-to-day activities.

-Filling in for teachers that are out.

-Help supervise/interact with children inside and outside.

-Help maintain clean and safe classrooms and center.

-Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.

-Making sure the childrens’ physical and emotional needs are met .

-Working well in a team setting.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
