Assistant Floor Manager

The Aberdeen Boat Club is located in Wong Chuk Hang (MTR exit B- 10 mins walk), South HK Island, provides recreational and competitive sea-based activities with a second clubhouse located on Middle Island.

We are now hiring Assistant Floor Manager. You will provide exceptional service to our members and guests, taking orders and ensuring a welcoming dining experience.

Job responsibilities:

• Daily Operations: Assist the Floor Manager in supervising floor operations, including opening/ closing duties and table turnover.

• Guest Service: Greet and seat guests warmly, provide detailed menu recommendations, and handle guest inquires or complaints professionally.

• Service Standards: Oversee the flow of service to ensure timely and accurate order delivery; maintain in-depth knowledge of menu items and beverage pairings.

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train and mentor junior servers and support staff, ensuring grooming and behavior standards are met.

• Coordination: Act as a key communicator between the kitchen, management, and the service team.

• Administrative: Handle billing, cash/ card transactions and assist with reservation management.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years related work experience in a restaurant or hotel       setting.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of food and beverage service principles.

• Communication: Good command of spoken Cantonese and English; conversational Mandarin is a plus.

• Attributes: Customer-oriented, pleasant personality, and ability to thrive in a

fast-paced environment.

• Availability: Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
