Assistant FOH Manager

This is a tipped position which typically adds and additional $4-6(potentially more) per hour to base pay. This position automatically includes a 5% pay increase in January of each year.

White Duck Taco Shop is opening a new location in South End, Charlotte towards the end of July. We are looking to hire an experience FOH Assistant Manager to assist us as we prepare to open. Ideally this person would train for 2-3 weeks at our Matthews location before transitioning to South End as we open in late July.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Front of House (FOH) Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall operation of the front-of-house team, ensuring exceptional customer service, smooth shift management, and efficient food and beverage service. Your leadership will help create a lively, welcoming environment where guests feel valued and staff are motivated to deliver their best. Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of customer service and food quality are maintained throughout each shift
• Support staff training and development initiatives to foster a knowledgeable, motivated team capable of delivering outstanding hospitality experiences
• Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction management
• Manage inventory control procedures to ensure proper stock levels, minimize waste, and optimize food production efficiency
• Lead shift management activities including scheduling, assigning tasks, and resolving operational issues swiftly and effectively
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build a strong front-of-house team with excellent customer service skills

Requirements

• Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with a strong focus on customer service
• Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and food handling procedures
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment
• Experience with inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food production management
• Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
