The Role & Your Impact

As an Assistant General Manager, you will be a hands-on leader who inspires by example. Working directly with the General Manager and Home Office, you will drive operational excellence, uphold strict quality standards, and create a positive, high-energy environment for both guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Operations & Leadership: Lead, coach, and organize the service and kitchen teams during fast-paced shifts.
• Guest Experience: Maintain a strong floor presence, resolve guest issues promptly, and deliver exceptional hospitality.
• Standards & Quality: Drive Bin 4 management systems, ensuring strict food safety, cleanliness, and brand consistency.
• Team Communication: Act as a vital link between service staff, the kitchen, and upper management to keep operations fluid.
• Hands-on Support: Seamlessly step into serving, bartending, or operational roles whenever the floor requires extra support.
• Safety Culture: Actively model and promote a proactive health and safety mindset throughout the restaurant.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, full service restaurant environment (Front-of-House, restaurant experience required).
• Leadership Skills: 1 year of restaurant management or supervisory experience is required.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to coach and give feedback and manage conflict.
• Attitude: A resilient, problem-solving mindset and a positive, 'glass half-full' professional attitude.
• Education: Post-secondary education or a skilled trades certification is considered a strong asset.
• Technical: We use Toast point of sale, Open Table reservations, Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes and Door Dash 3rd party delivery apps integrated with Deliverect and Google Workspace apps. Push and Talent HR management systems. Priority will be given to candidates with direct experience using these systems or similar restaurant management systems.

The Interview Process

If you are selected for an interview, our Human Resource manager will reach out to schedule an initial 15 minute video interview. Candidates who are considered a fit will then have a second in person interview with the General Manager of the Burnaby Bin 4 store.
