Assistant General Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our retail team! Duties

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and staff scheduling
• Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment
• Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering processes with accuracy and integrity
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high standards of communication skills
• Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales opportunities
• Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and inventory management to ensure operational efficiency
• Supervise shift management to ensure smooth store operations during all hours of operation while maintaining compliance with company policies

Experience

• Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within retail environments
• Strong background in retail sales, inventory management, and customer service excellence
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster employee development
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate financial transactions
• Experience in recruiting, training & development, and employee orientation processes
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to enhance communication with diverse customer bases
• Knowledge of marketing strategies, merchandising techniques, and store operations is highly desirable
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating strong time management skills
