Veeno is bringing a little bit of Sicily to Northallerton, and we’re looking for an ambitious Assistant General Manager to join our brand-new Italian wine bar and restaurant.

With our passion for Italian wine, authentic food, great service and Wine & Happiness, you'll play a key role in helping us build an amazing team and make Veeno Northallerton a success.

What You'll Do

Working closely with the General Manager, you'll help lead the restaurant and:

• Deputise for the General Manager when required.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team.
• Deliver outstanding service and a fantastic guest experience.
• Drive sales, increase spend per head and control costs and wastage.
• Support recruitment, training, rotas and performance management.
• Manage stock and ordering to ensure excellent availability.
• Maintain high standards of Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety.
• Ensure the restaurant consistently meets Veeno brand standards.
• Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve.
• Help create a fun, positive and high-performing team environment.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in high-volume F&B or restaurant operations.
• A confident and proven team leader.
• Passionate about hospitality and customer service.
• Organised, motivated and highly standards-driven.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• A natural coach who enjoys developing people.
• Confident making decisions and solving problems.
• Energetic, positive and ready to get stuck in!
