Assistant General Manager

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to train and develop staff effectively. As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of service, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Duties

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional hospitality while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Train and develop team members in various roles, including culinary, bar service, and banquet operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and increase operational efficiency.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with management on special events, promotions, and menu development.
• Build and publish a weekly schedule for front of house staff.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Manager or similar role in the food industry, preferably in fine dining or quick service fast food restaurants.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and training.
• Knowledge of Toast POS system or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Culinary knowledge is a plus, particularly related to menu planning and food presentation.
• Experience in banquet management is desirable but not mandatory.
