Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of the hotel operations, ensuring smooth daily functions, excellent customer service, and team development. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, foster a positive work environment, and uphold our high standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food service, and maintenance.
• Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales goals through effective training, coaching, and supervision.
• Oversee inventory management, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock control to maximize profitability.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Supervise shift management, cash handling, POS systems, and cashiering processes to maintain operational integrity.
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members.
• Implement employee orientation programs and ongoing training & development initiatives to enhance team skills.
• Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and operational reports to ensure financial accuracy.
• Uphold store management standards including merchandising, stocking, inventory control, and sales management.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills, managerial leadership, and organizational oversight.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within retail or hospitality industries.
• Strong background in retail sales management, inventory control, and operations management.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to lead teams effectively through supervision and training.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases.
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills.
• Experience with grocery store or wireless sales environments is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills for managerial interactions and customer service excellence.
• Knowledge of retail product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and pricing strategies.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
