Assistant General Manager

Job Description

• Manage the overall Finance & Accounts operations and supervise the finance team.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts and Budget vs Actual performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports/MIS.
• Monitor revenue, gross profit, margins, expenses and overall profitability.
• Manage cash flow, bank facilities, payments and working capital.
• Monitor customer receivables, credit limits, collections and overdue payments.
• Control supplier payables and payment schedules based on cash-flow requirements.
• Monitor inventory value, stock aging, slow-moving stock and stock variances in coordination with Procurement and Warehouse.
• Review major expenses and implement cost-control and cost-saving measures.
• Ensure proper accounting controls, approvals, documentation and financial procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, audits and other statutory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of financial, purchase, sales and inventory information in the ERP system.
• Identify and report financial, credit, inventory and cash-flow risks to Management.
• Perform any other finance-related responsibilities assigned by Management.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce.
• CA / ACCA preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant Finance & Accounts experience, with senior management exposure preferred.
• UAE/GCC and trading/distribution industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, inventory, ERP and Excel.

License/Certification:

• CA/ACCA (Required)
