About the role

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team in Tangerang, Banten. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role within our organisation. As Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing the operational, financial, and administrative functions of the company, ensuring all activities align with our corporate objectives and industry standards. This role is essential to driving organisational efficiency, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and fostering a culture of excellence across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting the General Manager in the formulation and implementation of strategic plans and business objectives
• Overseeing daily operational activities and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Managing and coordinating departmental functions to ensure seamless integration across the organisation
• Monitoring financial performance and supporting the development of budgets and cost-control initiatives
• Representing the company in key meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
• Leading the human resources function, including recruitment, staff development, performance management, and workplace relations
• Implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols to maintain the highest standards of workplace safety
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners
• Preparing reports and presentations on operational performance and strategic initiatives for senior management
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced qualification is advantageous
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the oil and gas sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management or supervisory capacity
• Proven experience in operations management, maintenance management, or engineering project oversight within the oil and gas industry
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulatory compliance in the energy sector
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Indonesian (both verbal and written)
• Ability to think strategically whilst managing day-to-day operational challenges
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Experience in quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
• Knowledge of Indonesian labour laws and business regulations is advantageous
