Assistant General Manager

GoHire Staffing is hiring an Assistant General Manager on behalf of a high-energy restaurant and entertainment venue group. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client, not a temporary or contract position.

As Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in running a high-volume venue that combines creative food, beverages, and guest entertainment. You will lead and develop your teams, protect service and quality standards, and help drive profitable operations.

Responsibilities

• Review the P&L each period with the General Manager and identify ways to improve efficiency and profitability
• Oversee cash handling procedures, including safe counts, petty cash, and bank drops
• Maintain facility and equipment standards and keep guests and team members safe
• Run smooth, efficient daily operations and deliver an excellent guest experience
• Lead, mentor, and develop salaried and hourly managers
• Build a succession bench and improve team engagement and retention
• Identify and develop trainers and high performers for promotion into management

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in restaurant and/or entertainment hospitality in a similar role
• Proven track record in high-volume, fast-paced operations
• Solid experience with P&L and financial responsibilities
• Working knowledge of liquor, labor, and health code requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A heart for hospitality and a passion for building a positive team culture

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Stand for extended periods and climb stairs repeatedly
• Operate touchscreen POS systems
• Work comfortably in a commercial kitchen with heat, steam, and noise
