The Opportunity

We're looking for an Assistant General Manager to help bring the SLAM Store experience to life. Working closely with store leadership, you'll help lead day to day operations, support and develop the team, and create an environment that reflects everything SLAM stands for. From delivering a great customer experience to executing product launches and keeping the store running smoothly, you'll play a key role in shaping how customers experience the brand.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves retail, understands the culture, and is just as comfortable leading a team as they are jumping onto the sales floor.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support the team: Help coach, motivate, and develop store associates while creating a positive, collaborative, and high-performing environment.
• Drive store performance: Support sales goals, monitor key performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve results and the overall customer experience.
• Bring the brand to life: Help execute visual merchandising, product launches, special releases, and in-store experiences that reflect SLAM's identity.
• Keep things running smoothly: Support daily store operations, including inventory management, scheduling, replenishment, cash handling, loss prevention, and opening and closing procedures.
• Create memorable customer experiences: Build relationships with customers, foster a welcoming environment, and ensure every interaction feels authentic to SLAM.
• Be part of the culture: Stay connected to what's happening across basketball, sneakers, streetwear, and the local community, bringing fresh ideas and insights to the team.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in retail, ideally within streetwear, sneakers, apparel, lifestyle, or a similar environment.
• Previous experience leading, supervising, or coaching a retail team.
• A strong understanding of store operations, sales performance, inventory management, and customer service.
• Someone who leads by example, takes initiative, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine interest in basketball, sneakers, streetwear, and the culture surrounding them.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
