Assistant General Manager

Are you a driven automotive professional ready to take the next step into leadership? We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to help lead daily operations at one of our busy Midas locations. You’ll work closely with the Shop Manager to build a strong team, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and hit our financial goals. This is a true development role, designed to prepare you to run your own shop.

What You’ll Do
As Assistant General Manager, you’ll support the Shop Manager in every part of the business and take full responsibility for the shop when they’re away. You’ll be on the front line with customers and technicians every day, keeping work flowing and making sure every vehicle gets the care it deserves.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily business operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supervise team members across various departments, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Oversee customer service standards to ensure a positive experience for clients and guests.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
• Implement operational procedures and process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage supplies, and oversee maintenance activities related to Midas services or products.
• Support staff training and development initiatives to foster a motivated and skilled team.
• Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly.
• Assist in achieving sales targets and operational goals set by senior management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive service experience, with at least 1 year as a service advisor, lead, or in a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance
• Proven ability to sell service work with integrity
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working with numbers and basic shop KPIs
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license

Skills

• Proven supervisory experience with strong leadership capabilities.
• Familiarity with Midas industry standards, products, or services is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and customer interactions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of operational procedures, inventory management, and safety protocols relevant to the industry.
• Ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
