About the Role:

Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill is looking for a driven and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team in the charming coastal town of Southport, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll help shape the guest experience and keep daily operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant/business operations
• Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service
• Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor cost controls
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Handle guest relations, resolve complaints, and maintain a positive dining experience
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships
• Monitor financial performance including sales reporting and cost management

Requirements:

• 2+ years of restaurant or hospitality management experience required
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations and industry best practices
• Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
