Assistant General Manager Finance

Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Cash Management

• Assist in daily cash positioning, fund planning, and bank balance monitoring
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and variance analysis
• Support optimization of working capital including receivables and payables coordination
• Monitor actual fund flow and liquidity management

Banking & Loan Management

• Coordinate with banks for treasury and banking operations
• Track loan drawdowns, repayments, and interest servicing
• Handle banking documentation, renewals, and compliance related to OD/CC/LC/BG facilities
• Monitor working capital requirements and banking relationships

Financial Accounting & Book Closure

• Manage accounting operations and ledger scrutiny
• Pass and review accounting entries related to borrowings, interest, and financial transactions
• Ensure timely book closure and preparation of financial statements
• Handle accounting activities up to finalization of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and confirmations

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC/MCA filings, and other statutory requirements
• Handle direct and indirect taxation matters
• Coordinate tax assessments, notices, and departmental queries
• Maintain statutory records and compliance registers

Audit & Regulatory Coordination

• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, bank auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities
• Support audit requirements related to treasury and finance functions
• Ensure timely submission of audit-related information and documentation

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Conduct cost analysis and variance analysis for management decision-making
• Prepare project budgeting and monitor financial performance

MIS & Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS reports, treasury MIS, cash flow statements, profitability reports, and liquidity reports
• Develop finance dashboards and management reports
• Provide analytical support to senior management

Process Improvement & Internal Controls

• Support treasury process automation and ERP-related activities
• Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance systems
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and financial reporting
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC/MCA compliances
• Knowledge of treasury operations and banking processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally ERP, and ERP systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilitiesRole & responsibilities
