Assistant General Manager Description

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager on all aspects required to operate a high-performing restaurant according to McDonald’s standards. The Assistant General Manager manages PACE standards, sales, guest counts, and people. To stay organized, this role utilizes systems and routines to ensure excellent service.

This position works under the Restaurant Manager and collaborates heavily with J-Quint and internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Sales, Profitability & Business Management

• Assist the General Manager in the completion of weekly results review and redirection.
• Prepare and report results and action plans to the General Manager and Supervisor for weekly meetings.
• Review weekly sales projections with the General Manager to build the business.
• Complete one shift verification to shift managers weekly to improve restaurant performance.
• Conduct weekly communication and development follow-ups with all managers.

Restaurant Operations & Standards

• Conduct walkthroughs.
• Execute and follow up on the restaurant plan, profit goals, and objectives.
• Exceed McDonald’s standards during all visits (PACE, HDI, Eco-Sure)

Staffing, Talent & Retention

• Staff the restaurant with qualified employees and focus on hiring, talent management, training, and retention.
• Conduct interviews with all potential Crew hires, including an initial interview, 30-day and 90-day follow-up interviews to collect feedback and reduce turnover.
• “Active and effective Crew Trainers program.”

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Assistant Manager or General Manager experience working in a QSR environment McDonald’s experience highly preferred.
• Degree : Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate degree considered.
• ServSafe Certification
• Demonstrated success leading restaurant teams, production, guests, and hospitality .
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment .
• LGR certification preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency - English and Spanish preferred.
• Commitment to professional growth, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
• Ability to maintain a positive, professional, and growth-oriented attitude while taking ownership and pride in the success of the restaurant.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
