Assistant General Manager, Project

About the role

To lead, manage, control and represent the Project team. Overall in charge and oversee project management which includes but not limited to planning, implementation, execution and completion of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Be responsible for overall project management which includes but not limited to planning, implementation, execution and completion of sections of project to ensure successful completion of the project.
• Assist in the coordination of multi-disciplinary works within a project including handling project planning, budget and cost control, safety and quality system implementation.
• Provide feedback / presentation regarding project progress to senior management.
• Focus on the successful delivery of the project and manage all aspects of the construction programme.
• Follow up with relevant authorities and consultants on approval of land matters, proposed layout, building plan, design proposals, tender documentation etc.
• Lead and coordinate works amongst the project team.
• Provide guidance in project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Maintain and ensure comprehensive project documentation.
• Report periodically to management on project work progress.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Structure Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in construction and project management in property development industry.
• 3 – 5 years of management experience and able to lead a team.
• Strong knowledge on construction management, contract administration and budgeting.
• Theoretical and practical project management knowledge.
• Knowledge in engineering design detailing and able to make quick decision on contractual and site matters.
• Knowledge in statutory and regulatory requirements, and guidelines on property development.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Able to liaise with clients, consultants and authorities
