Job Description

We are looking for an experienced AGM / DGM Purchase to lead the Non-BOM Purchase function for our Garment/Textile business.

The person will be responsible for managing vendors, negotiating prices, reducing costs and ensuring timely availability of all non-BOM materials and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Non-BOM procurement for consumables, maintenance items, services, indirect materials and other requirements.
• Develop and maintain a strong vendor network.
• Negotiate with vendors for the best price, quality and payment terms.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and cost reduction.
• Prepare and review cost comparisons and should-costing for major purchases.
• Evaluate and monitor vendor performance.
• Develop new and alternate vendors wherever required.
• Ensure materials and services are purchased on time as per business requirements.
• Monitor purchase spend and track cost savings.
• Prepare MIS reports, cost analysis and dashboards using MS Excel.
• Prepare PPT presentations for management reviews.
• Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR and other departments for purchase requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and processes.
• Lead, guide and develop the Purchase team.
• Improve purchase processes and identify opportunities for better efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• 15-18 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
• Experience in Non-BOM / Indirect Procurement is mandatory.
• Garment / Textile / Apparel industry experience is preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor negotiation and cost reduction.
• Good knowledge of cost analysis and should-costing.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel including Pivot Tables, formulas and data analysis.
• Good knowledge of PowerPoint for management presentations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in team handling and vendor management.
• Ability to manage multiple requirements and work with different business functions.

Education

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering / Costing / Supply Chain / Procurement.
• MBA in Supply Chain / Operations will be an added advantage.
