Assistant General Manager - Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and optimal service delivery
• Lead, train, and develop staff to uphold high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
• Manage inventory control, food safety protocols, and sanitation procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations
• Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Monitor financial performance including profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and cost control initiatives
• Coordinate kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and food production to ensure timely service
• Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members with comprehensive training
• Maintain excellent customer relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
• Assist in managing catering, banquet events, or special functions as needed to boost revenue streams
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership, and recognition of staff achievements

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in cash handling and basic math skills
• Demonstrated ability in inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food management practices
• Excellent managerial communication skills with experience in team training, staff development, and supervising hospitality teams
• Background in restaurant management with a focus on customer service excellence and hospitality management principles
• Experience working in fine dining or casual dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus
• Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
