Assistant General Manager - Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Schedule is currently set as Thursday - Monday Closes.
• Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills in food service management, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service excellence.
• Be your own Boss, own the shifts and implement your plan and grow the team together with the supporting crew.
• Oversee inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste and optimize food costs while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Handle cash management duties such as cash handling, balancing registers, and preparing financial reports related to profit and loss analysis.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures across all restaurant areas.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, resolving guest concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Participate in interviewing potential team members to build a strong hospitality team aligned with company values.
• Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control strategies, and enhancing overall restaurant profitability.

Experience

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
• Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
• Extensive knowledge of food safety management practices and health regulations applicable to casual dining or fine dining settings.
• Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis to maximize operational efficiency.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively, manage teams confidently, and communicate managerial expectations clearly.
• Background in catering or banquet operations is a plus; experience in managing hospitality teams across various service formats is highly valued.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence and team development.
