Assistant General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and cleanliness to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Supervise and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and performance management to foster a positive team environment
• Oversee inventory control, food safety standards, and proper food handling procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking
• Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and analyze profit and loss statements to optimize operational efficiency
• Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, culinary standards, and timely delivery of orders
• Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members
• Ensure high levels of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Implement food safety management practices and conduct regular staff training on sanitation protocols
• Lead by example in managing hospitality teams, fostering teamwork, leadership development, and a culture of excellence

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food industry operations
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, staff training, and performance evaluation skills
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting
• Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures
• Experience in managing hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining environments is preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and handle customer interactions professionally
• Basic math skills for cash handling, budgeting, and profit analysis
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced setting

Must have Serv Sage Manager or be able to get one within 30 days of hiring. This is a per-requisite for the job.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
