Assistant General Manager - Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management
• Supervise and coordinate daily shift activities to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality customer experiences
• Train, mentor, and develop team members on food safety standards, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service best practices
• Manage inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across kitchen and dining areas
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and oversee POS system operations during shifts
• Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction

Skills

• Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling procedures
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and sales tracking
• Excellent team management skills with experience in staff training, interviewing, and performance coaching
• Ability to manage kitchen operations including food production, catering services, banquets, and bar service when applicable
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality management and guest satisfaction
• Basic math skills for budgeting, inventory control, and profit analysis; proficient in managing cash handling procedures
• Effective communication skills for managerial leadership, staff training, and coordinating with vendors or suppliers
• Knowledge of food safety management practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Experience supervising hospitality teams in a fast-paced environment with a focus on food quality and safety standards

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
