Role:

Wellington College International School Bangkok is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Golf Professional to join our expanding golf programme. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a leading international school, supporting a high-quality junior golf pathway and making a genuine impact on junior athletes at all stages of their development.

You will be working alongside our Head of Golf to deliver a broad programme—from beginner groups to advanced players, including some of the top junior golfers in Asia. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on junior coaching, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and wants to grow within a world-class educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of individual and group coaching across the Junior and Senior Schools.
  • Take a lead role in the Junior Golf Programme, helping to plan and deliver fun, engaging, and progressive sessions.
  • Assist with on-course lessons, internal school events, and external tournaments.
  • Work closely with Junior golfers to instil confidence, skill, and passion for the game.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff about student progress and participation.
  • Assist the Head of Golf in delivering a world class golf programme.

Working hours:

  • This is a part-time position, with the precise working hours to be agreed during the interview process.
  • The role will initially require availability on Wednesday afternoons, commencing at either 2.00pm or 3.00pm, for approximately three to four hours.
  • Sessions may take place at Unico Grande Golf Course or other designated venues, including Siam Country Club and Windsor Park & Golf Club.
  • There is potential for additional hours in the future, dependent on the evolving requirements of the College’s golf programme.

Requirements:

  • A qualified golf professional (e.g., British PGA, or similar recognised qualification).
  • A strong interest in junior development and coaching.
  • A positive role model with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, reliable, and passionate about helping students enjoy and improve.
  • Open to learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
