Assistant Greenkeeper – Full-Time, Permanent

Elderslie Golf Club, Renfrewshire

Elderslie Golf Club is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Greenkeeper to join our experienced team as an Assistant Greenkeeper.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Club at an exciting time. We have continued to invest significantly in both our golf course and facilities, including the development of new holes and anew state-of-the-art greenkeeping facility.

Working under the direction of the Course Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day preparation, maintenance and presentation of the golf course. We take considerable pride in the condition of the course and are looking for someone who shares that approach and wants to contribute to its continued development.

The role will include:

• Daily preparation and presentation of the golf course
• General turf maintenance across greens, tees, fairways and surrounding areas
• Course set-up and preparation for competitions and events
• Operation and care of greenkeeping machinery and equipment
• Assisting with seasonal maintenance and course improvement works
• Working as part of the greenkeeping team to maintain high standards for members and visitors
• Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the golf course

About you

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and takes genuine pride in course presentation. You should enjoy working as part of a team while also being comfortable carrying out tasks independently.

Applicants should ideally hold an SVQ/NVQ Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf or equivalent.

Spraying and chainsaw certificates are desirable but are not essential.
