Assistant Head Housekeeper

Candidates must have Saturday and Sunday availability with some flexibility during the week.

As an Assistant Head Housekeeper at Daly Seven, you serve as a vital support leader responsible for assisting management and the Head Housekeeper in maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the hotel. You act as a hands-on role model, helping train staff, inspect guest rooms, support daily laundry operations, and maintain overall property quality. Given the fast-paced nature of hospitality, you demonstrate strong personal ownership, leadership abilities, and efficiency to ensure guest satisfaction and team success.

What You’ll Do
Supervisory Support & Quality Control

• Support the Head Housekeeper in inspecting vacant and occupied guest rooms daily, ensuring all brand and company cleanliness standards are met.
• Carry an approved supply caddy during room inspections to address small cleaning details and immediately replace missing guest room items.
• Serve as a professional role model for housekeeping staff by maintaining proper dress code, wearing a name tag, and arriving on time.
• Assist in monitoring daily housekeeping and laundry workflows, reviewing staff performance, and providing constructive feedback or coaching.
• Follow up on late check-outs and "Do Not Disturb" signs to ensure all assigned rooms are serviced efficiently.

Daily Operations & Housekeeping Support

• Clean guest rooms, handle laundry duties, and maintain public spaces as needed to support property needs during peak periods.
• Assist with stripping rooms, stocking supply closets, and assisting in the laundry department as time permits.
• Help execute deep cleaning schedules, carpet shampooing, and mattress-turning initiatives. Assist with tracking linen inventories, reporting shortages, and securing all supply areas at the end of each shift.
• Identify property repair needs and submit timely maintenance work orders to management.

Safety, Compliance & Confidentiality

• Actively promote workplace safety by identifying hazards, modeling proper lifting techniques, and reporting injuries or concerns promptly.
• Adhere strictly to company timekeeping policies, ensuring accurate clock-ins/outs and mandatory 30-minute meal breaks.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business, personnel matters, and employee personal information.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel housekeeping experience required; previous experience in a supervisory or lead housekeeper role is a plus.
• Strong cleaning skills paired with emerging leadership and communication abilities.
• Keen eye for detail and high personal quality standards.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, stand for extended periods, and navigate stairs regularly throughout the shift.

Schedule

• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, weekends, and holidays based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
