Assistant Hotel General Manager

We are looking for an experienced assistant general manager with solid leadership abilities who can grow with us. This is a hands-on leadership position, requiring the ability to work alongside the team and actively participate in daily hotel operations. You will collaborate with our general manager to plan and oversee the hotel's daily operations and assume the GM's responsibilities in their absence. This position is responsible for managing employees and ensuring our guests have a 5-star experience with our services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service while also maintaining the hotel's budget and quality standards. You must have 3 years of management experience in the hospitality industry, and a bachelor's degree in hospitality management is strongly preferred. Compensation:

$50,000 - $55,000

Responsibilities:

• Consult with the general manager to ensure that all guest service standards are met daily

• Ensure that all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, as well as any corporate or brand-established policies and practices, are followed

• Lead daily hotel operations to ensure a seamless guest experience, fostering a welcoming and efficient environment.

• Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategic plans that align with our hotel's goals and values.

• Supervise and mentor team members, encouraging professional growth and maintaining high morale.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hospitality regulations, promoting a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

• Manage financial performance by monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities.

• Coordinate with department heads to streamline operations and enhance service delivery across all hotel functions.

• Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty to our brand's standards of excellence.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working in a hotel or the hospitality industry required
• Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
• Possess excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience managing a team is required; preferably in a hospitality role such as department manager
• A high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in hospitality management or a related field
