Assistant Hotel Manager

About the role

Responsibilities

• Partnering with the General Manager to lead day-to-day operations across all departments, swiftly identifying, and resolving any service or operational gaps
• Championing a culture of exceptional guest experience, personally handling complaints, and ensuring every concern is resolved with care and professionalism
• Leading, mentoring, and inspiring your team through scheduling, performance reviews, and targeted training programmers
• Supporting revenue management initiatives and assisting in budget preparation, cost control, and financial oversight to maximize hotel performance
• Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and security regulations while conducting regular inspections across all areas of the property

Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive hotel management experience, including at least 2–3 years in an assistant manager or supervisory role
• Proven ability to manage multi-departmental hotel operations with strong problem-solving instincts and a proactive, results-driven mindset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage guests from diverse backgrounds and lead teams at every level
• Sound financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization, alongside a hospitality management qualification (preferred)
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Malay is a strong advantage, with flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
